RT day 2

  • Apr. 18th, 2008 at 2:54 PM

Okay, these pictures are not necessarily in order, and I know they're grainy. I haven't quite learned how to use my new camera, and it's not top of the line. And I'm not a very good photographer. But here's what I have so far. I'll be stealing others' pictures soon. ;-)
This is most of the Demons Are the New Black panel. I had a shot of the other panelists (Jackie Kessler and Richelle Mead) but it didn't turn out. Pictured are Kim Harrison Caitlin Kittridge, Carole Nelson Douglas, my own agent Miriam Kriss, and Mark Henry (whom I affectionately call "the zombie guy"). The panel was awesome, and very informative. If I ever decide to write about demons, I'll now know where to start. ;-)

This is Jeaniene Frost, Caitlin Kittridge, and Melissa Marr, the founders of Fangs, Fur, and Fey, right after Jeaniene's win (RT's Best Urban Fantasy) for Halfway to the Grave.

Yesterday morning, several of us grativtated to the coffee bar before the morning panels. Pictured are Jenna Black, Kim Harrison, Mark Henry, Caitlin Kittridge, (front) Jackie Kessler, me, and Jocelynn Drake.

This is the YA panel I attended yesterday afternoon, hoping to learn new things about the genre, since I'm now also a YA author. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down all the panelists names, but third from the left is Marianne Mancusi, next to her is Paula (whose last name I've forgotten) and Melissa Marr.

I don't have any pictures of the paranormal panel I was on yesterday, but I'm hoping someone will send me one, or post one I can steal. Ditto for the one I was on today.

More tomorrow!

Yes, she did! And she's awesome, and the book was awesome, and her second book is awesome! I was surrounded by the awesomeness of Jeaniene. ;-)

And
could Jeanniene look any cuter in that picture. (She probably hates that!) Have her teach you a few "swear" words. I hear she can make a sailor blush.

Re: And
She could probably make the devil himself blush. But she carries it off beautifully. She looked like a movie star from the 1940s every time I saw her. ;-)

If I didn't talk to Chris Clairmont and Orson Scott Card today, I'm actually be a bit more jealous than I already am...

Great pics! I'm so glad you're sharing your trip. Congrats to Jeaniene. On the YA Panel I recognize (from l to r) Stephanie Hale, Tera Lynn Childs, Mari Mancusi, Paula Chase Hyman, ? and then Melissa.
